Owen TraynorBSc(Hons), PhDOwen began his tertiary education in his native Scotland at the University of Strathclyde where he gained a BSc (Hons) and a PhD in Computer Science. Owen is interested in the development and application of methodologies and tools to enable practical uptake of high integrity software development methods. He has in depth experience in formal specification; integrated project support environments; transformational software development; software verification; software development methodologies; software configuration and version control; process modelling; databases and object oriented design/modelling. He has over thirty publications in International Journals and Conferences in the area of Software Engineering and has presented more than 50 invited talks and seminars worldwide. He has managed a variety of large software development and research projects and holds a number of substantial research grants in the Computer Science area.Owen presently holds the position of Senior Research Fellow at the Software Verification Research Centre at The University of Queensland where he manages and coordinates the software tool development for the core projects of the internationally renowned (SVRC). Owen also lectures to, and supervises Undergraduate, Honours and PhD students and is involved in the planning, preparation and presentation the SVRC's industrial training courses. Since leaving Scotland Owen has been an Assistant Professor at Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Missouri-St. Louis and a Visiting Professor at Universitaet Bremen, West Germany. Owen brings ESP a strong commitment to quality control, extensive project management experience and a professional approach to software development. |
